most popular revival event
is back and better than ever
on Sunday 25 August at the
ultimate 1950s destination, Rose
Seidler House.
Due to popular demand, tickets
for this sell-out event will only be

Hosted by Sydney Living Museums,
this annual fair attracts thousands
each year, eager to celebrate
the 1950s in the grounds of an
architectural masterpiece.
This August, don those vintage
threads and complete the look
with a visit to the on-site barber
shop where a team of experienced
groomers will primp and preen partygoers
into true fifties style.
Try your hand at the best-dressed
competition, trawl through vintage
fashion stalls and marvel at the
fifties motor displays. Pick up tips
from professional swing dancers
before taking a whirl yourself on the
famous outdoor dance floor.
Take in the retro scene and relax on
the lawn with delicious fare from
the many food stalls. Then explore
striking Rose Seidler House, architect
Harry Seidler’s trailblazing response
to monotonous suburbia.
Built from 1948-50 the house is
one of the most uncompromised
examples of modernist domestic
architecture in Australia.
