Something
for everyone
even the family dog!
at Cumberland
State Forest
Cumberland State Forest is a 40 hectare
oasis of bushland in West Pennant Hills.
Entry to the forest is FREE, and visitors can
choose between four recently upgraded picnic
areas including three barbeque areas. Scenic
walking trails include the Forestry Trail, which
meanders through tall eucalypt forest, and the
Palm Gully Trail where walkers can explore moist
eucalypt forest. The Sensory Trail is
fully accessible and welcomes strollers and
wheelchairs alike.
Guided walks are also available as part of our
weekend activity program – why not join us in
November for Spotlight month when you can
bring your torch and spot night-time animals in
the forest? Families delight in the Early Bird Brekky
activity, doing a bit of bird watching and getting a
cooked breakfast into the bargain!
Phone 9872 0136 for bookings.
The Forest Visitor Centre has interactive displays
and information about sustainable forest
management, along with free self-guided activities
for children. Dogs are welcome on a lead to
explore the forest with you. Visit the cafe or drop
in to the nursery specialising in Australian native
plants.
