If you’re looking for a taste of culture during your stay<br />
in Hornsby Shire you should definitely add Wallarobba<br />
Arts and Cultural Centre to your itinerary.<br />
Located in central Hornsby, it is the artistic hub of the<br />
region, with a constant stream of exhibitions showing off<br />
the works of both locally and nationally renowned artists.<br />
<strong>The</strong> gallery was originally a homestead, built in 1903,<br />
but it has been transformed by Hornsby Council into a highquality<br />
gallery that won the 2012 Local Government and<br />
Shires Association award for an improved cultural facility.<br />
Other facilities at the centre include a community art studio,<br />
a purpose-built printmaking room and an artists’ lounge.<br />
Wallarobba is located at 25 Edgeworth David Avenue,<br />
Hornsby.<br />

FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS<br />

Hornsby Shire between 25 October and 1 December,<br />

when Festival of the Arts is on.<br />
Plays, concerts and exhibitions are just scratching the<br />
surface of what is on offer as the artistically minded<br />
people of the region show off their talents from one end of<br />
the Shire to the other.<br />
