SCSEP - Title V For Older Job Seekers At The Downtown YWCA<br />
Do you have the skills, just can’t find the job? Maybe need to improve your skills to help you move forward into<br />
the job you want? If you’re age 55+, unemployed, low-income (call for more information), motivated <strong>and</strong> just need<br />
a little extra to help you get to where you want to be in the employment market, the YWCA Title V program could<br />
be for you. This is an internship program that places workers in host agencies relevant to work experience that<br />
works h<strong>and</strong> in h<strong>and</strong> with its interns to achieve real results.Contact Kevon Wick at 206-436-8638 or<br />

SCSEP - Title V For Older Job Seekers At AARP<br />
Are you aged 55+, unemployed <strong>and</strong> actively seeking employment? Call the Senior Community Service<br />
Employment Program at AARP Foundation in Seattle to see if you qualify for enrollment (You must meet lowincome<br />
guidelines for past 12 months). If you are eligible, the program will pay you $163 a week to participate in<br />
community service while you job search. Peer Employment Specialists will provide job leads, support <strong>and</strong><br />
encouragement. AARP Foundation has been assisting mature workers for more than 40 years. In the past three<br />
years, the Seattle office has helped 317 mature workers put a paycheck back into their pocket. Call 206-624-<br />

Downtown Mature Workers Job Club<br />
The Downtown Mature Workers Job Club meets twice a month on Thursdays (generally every other; call to<br />
confirm) at the YWCA at 3 rd <strong>and</strong> Virginia Streets (2024 3 rd Ave, upstairs in the WorkSource facility). Meetings take<br />
place from 1:00–2:30pm, <strong>and</strong> topics are contemporary to the issues older (age 55+) workers (<strong>and</strong> veterans) are<br />
