The 2013 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Voucher Applications
Are available. Monday 4/15/2103 - Applications are now available in 12 languages. GO TO:
www.agingkingcounty.org/highlight_farmers_market_voucher.htm - Application period ends on MAY 31, 2013.
Quick facts about the 2013 senior farmer’s market nutrition program (SFMNP) -
Applications must be postmarked by May 31, 2013.
Applications must be mailed to the address on the application (SFMNP, P.O. Box 24231, Seattle WA 98124-
0231)
Late applications NOT accepted.
Limit of one application per household
Applications MUST be signed
Valid USPS mail address must be provided; P.O. Box addresses OK
Prior year applicants must reapply each year
ELIGIBILITY: 60+ years of age (55+ for Native Am/Alaskan); resident King County, income at or below 185%
Federal Poverty Level.
Vouchers can be used at any WIC participant farmer’s market or food store throughout Washington State. Market
locations can be found at ADS website www.agingkingcounty.org/highlight_farmers_market_voucher.htm or the
Washington State University Extension website
NOTE: Due to the large number of applicants and an inadequate level of funding, there are not enough vouchers
for everyone who applies. A random selection process is used to decide who will receive vouchers. Priority may
be given to applicants who did not receive vouchers in 2012. Based on prior year’s data, only approximately onehalf
(50%) of applicants can expect to receive vouchers in 2013.
Career Masters: A Toastmasters Club Helping Each Other Reach Their Career Goals.
Guests are welcome to join us at any meeting! Our club is geared towards individuals seeking a job or wanting to
advance their career, and anyone who wants to improve their communication or leadership skills should come
and see how our club can help! At each meeting we practice communication and leadership skills in a variety of
ways. At a typical meeting, members deliver prepared speeches, practice impromptu speaking during a "Table
Topics" session, and offer positive and constructive evaluations and feedback. Members take turns leading the
various aspects of the meetings, and work from the Toastmasters self-paced educational manuals. The group
meets every Thursday from Noon – 1 PM in Room 4096 of the Seattle Municipal Tower, 700 5 th Ave., Seattle WA.
