We are hiring a full-time Home Maintenance Specialist to independently handle the repairs and maintenance of all of our scattered-site rental homes. A hands-on expert generalist skilled in all single-family residential property maintenance tasks. Required Qualifications: • Strong hands-on experience maintaining and repairing all aspects of residential properties (multi-site, singlefamily strongly preferred) with at last one-year recent experience within Washington State (King County strongly preferred). • Hard-working, capable, self-motivated, highly-organized, creative and caring individual, able to work completely independently (essential), using common sense, compassion and understanding in a variety of challenging environments. • High school education supplemented by education and training in home-building and maintenance disciplines. • Lives within 30 minutes of most of our rental properties. Must be able to respond to occasional emergencies evenings, weekends and holidays. • Has valid Washington State driver's license, excellent driving record and dependable transportation. Must be responsible for driving and maintaining the company van. Must pass criminal background check. • Honest, dependable individual committed to our organization's mission and purpose, a team-player with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively, professionally and positively in all interactions. • Has some administrative and computer skills. Must be able to use a personal computer with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. • Meets all physical requirements (driving, standing, bending, stooping, crawling, squatting, lifting, kneeling, reaching and climbing). Additional Qualifications: Strong preference will be given to candidates living close to Shoreline/North Seattle with hands-on expertise maintaining and repairing multi-site, single-family housing for low-income people with special needs, especially in King County.
