Preamble
Each individual tooth-technical restoration represents an unique. So unique it is, so individual
and multilayered are the work procedures, knowledge and talents of each technician which are
necessary for reaching high-quality and aesthetic artificial dentures.
This manual should be a guideline in order to achieve optimal results.
Please take the time and read this manual for working with the CORiTEC system before start
working in order to be able to offer your patient the optimum quantity of quality.
CORiTEC Milling Strategies: iCAM V3
I. Short Comments
A. Strategy glossary (iCAM V3):
For different processing a number of different strategies are available. Thereby we differentiate
according to the materials which can be worked on.
For the materials Zirconium Dioxide, PMMA and Wax tools with 3mm and 6mm shafts are
available. These have work diameters of 0.6mm, 1.0mm and 2.5mm.
For Titanium and CoCr alloys 3mm and 6mm shafts are likewise used. Here the working parts of
the tools have a diameter of 1.0mm, 2.0mm and 3.0mm.
For these constellations in each case individual strategies are developed.
These always follow the same sample:
could be such a strategy.
Material: Zr (Zirconium oxide) PMMA, Wax, CoCr, Ti
Object type: crown abutment, bridge, telescope
Diameter: 0.6 (0.6mm milling tool cone point) 1.0, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0
(milling tools outside work)
Shaft diameter: 3mm (3mm shaft milling tools) 6mm
(of the milling tool)
B. Strategy options:
For the different materials there are milling strategies adapted in each case (have a look at
chapter II - overview milling strategies). The tool diameter applies only to the occlusal face of the
objects which can be worked on. The interiors treatment (marginal fit range and cement gap) is
always worked on with the 1mm tool. For the treatment of zirconium you have the additionally
possibility of the small-steps- and safety strategies. These strategies are particularly careful to
the material and leave it usually also to mill very filigrane portions.
