5.12 Wiring Diagram<br />
a) A weatherproof wiring diagram shall be fixed to the inside of the point<br />
machine in such a manner that it remains legible and cannot interfere with the<br />
operation of the mechanism, should it become detached, over the life of the<br />
point machine.<br />
b) The wiring diagram shall indicate any alterations required to convert the hand<br />
of operation of the point machine.<br />
5.13 Labelling<br />
a) Labelling shall be in accordance with the requirements of VRIOG Standard<br />
“General Requirements for Labelling of Signalling Equipment” <strong>VRIOGS</strong><br />
012.7.30.<br />
5.14 Finish<br />
a) All exposed steelwork shall have sharp edges and burrs removed and all<br />
welds neat and free of slag.<br />
b) The whole of the steelwork, including electrical equipment, usually painted<br />
shall be cleaned free of oil and grease.<br />
c) However, all unprotected ferrous components forming the assembly shall be<br />
supplied lightly coated with SAE 30 OIL with 20% MOLYBOND COLLOID 20<br />
ADDITIVE or an approved alternative.<br />
d) No application of oil is permitted on the electrical equipment housed under the<br />
cover.<br />
e) All internal metal parts liable to corrosion, except bearing and contact<br />
surfaces shall be protected against corrosion using a heavy-duty<br />
electroplating (or equivalent) process.<br />
f) The material used for protection against corrosion under ordinary condition<br />
shall withstand temperature range between -40°C and +85°C.<br />
