the solution to the world’s existing environmental problems.
Our approach is to engage with all stakeholders and understand
different parties needs on an issue before deciding how to act.
We look for scientific solutions to complex problems, solutions
that bring benefits to all parties and generate lasting monetary
and ecological savings; one case being our successful Low-Carbon
Office Operation Programme (LOOP), an initiative tailor-made to
Hong Kong companies which helps offices go low-carbon.
This pragmatic approach has allowed WWF to create longterm
partnerships with major companies around the world.
These equal partnerships are mutually beneficial: our
supporters provide us with vital funds, while in return gaining
a host of benefits, including an enhanced brand image and
a demonstration of their commitment to corporate social
responsibility.
Other benefits include free participation in LOOP for the first
year, and assisting our corporate members with engaging their
employees and business partners regarding environmental
challenges. Employees of our corporate members are able to
learn about wider sustainability issues by joining guided visits,
seminars and other special programmes.
