The Reserve is a restricted area under the WildAnimals Protection Ordinance (Chapter 170) in order to minimize disturbance towildlife so all visitors are expected to behave responsibly and observe the followingcodes of entry:區港 新 界 元 朗 擔 竿 洲 米 埔 沼 澤 香話 Tel:1. To enter the Mai Po Nature Reserve you need, together with youridentification, a valid ‘Mai Po Marshes Entry Permit’ issued by the Agriculture,Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD), and to enter the FrontierClosed Area (FCA) to access the Floating Boardwalk and Hides to see birdson the Deep Bay mudflats you need a valid ‘FCA Permit’ issued by the HongKong Police Force. Therefore you must either –a) Hold valid personal entry permit(s),b) Use valid group entry permits issued to WWF-HK or other organizations, orc) Hold a valid temporary entry permit mainly issued to foreign visitors.2. Persons under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult who should beresponsible for their proper behaviour and safety inside the nature reserveand those aged under 4 are not allowed to enter the nature reserve for safetyreasons;3. All visitors are asked to respect the habitats and wildlife of the reserve bykeeping to the designated paths at all times and not causing undue noise.Some locations in the reserve are fenced off in the interest of conservationand wildlife preservation. Details of the designated paths are highlighted asenclosed, please do not go past any ‘No Entry’ signs. You are obliged toobserve and comply with the instruction accordingly;4. You need to be a WWF member or a participant on one of the WWF tours, inorder to use WWF facilities such as bird hides, rainshelters and boardwalks;for non-members wishing to use WWF facilities, you should contact WWFstaff at 2482 5237 before entering the nature reserve.5. While in a bird hide, please -- Remain quiet;- Do not poke you arms, cameras or telescopes out of the windows of thehide;- Close all windows before leaving.

6. Cycling in the reserve is not meant for leisure. Individual permit holdersplease register their bikes with WWF for cycling in the reserve (parking spacefor you bike is provided in the car park but at your own risk); and you areadvised to observe safety precautions at all time when cycling in the reserve.7. Never use flash when taking photographs;8. Visitors should wear clothes in plain colour;9. Mobile phone should be switched to quiet mode;10. Smoking is prohibited in the Reserve;11. No pet should be brought into the Reserve. For dogs, only trained assistancedogs are allowed (i.e. Guide Dogs);12. Do not disturb or take away ANYTHING including plant, animal or other lifeform from the Reserve;13. Vehicles entering the Reserve must hold a valid ‘Closed Road Permit’ issuedby the Hong Kong Police Force. Vehicles should only enter the Reserve forofficial work duty (i.e. research) as per the reason(s) for issuance. Inside theReserve, please do not leave your engine idling.Free parking is available at the Mai Po Visitor Centre for private cars and coaches ofthose people visiting the Reserve, although you are encouraged to visit us by publictransport or bicycle where possible. If you do arrive by vehicle please help protect theenvironment and reduce noise by switching off your engine.After your visit, please help other visitors by writing your wildlife sightings on the chalkrecord board in the Car Park. Also if you happen to see any sick or injured wildlife,please report their location to WWF staff at the reception of the Visitor Center (or theEducation Centre inside the Reserve).WWF offers guided visit tour to the Reserve on every Saturday, Sunday and PublicHoliday (Except Chinese New Year). 您 好 ! 歡 迎 到 臨 米 埔 自 然 保 護 區 。根 據 野 生 動 物 保 護 條 例 ( 第 170 章 ), 米 埔 自 然 保 護 區 是 一 個 「 限 制 進 入 或 處 於 其 內的 地 區 」, 以 便 對 保 護 區 內 野 生 動 植 物 的 干 擾 減 至 最 低 。 所 有 訪 客 均 有 責 任 遵 守下 列 條 款 :1. 訪 客 進 入 保 護 區 , 除 帶 備 身 份 証 明 文 件 外 , 需 要 持 有 由 漁 農 自 然 護 理 署 署 長發 出 的 有 效 「 進 入 米 埔 沼 澤 許 可 證 」。 另 外 , 訪 客 進 出 位 於 邊 境 禁 區 的 浮 橋及 泥 灘 觀 鳥 屋 , 需 持 有 由 香 港 警 務 處 處 長 發 出 的 有 效 「 邊 界 禁 區 通 行 證 」;因 此 , 訪 客 需 乎 合 以 下 條 件 的 其 中 一 項 :I. 持 有 有 效 的 個 人 通 行 證 ;II. 使 用 由 世 界 自 然 基 金 會 香 港 分 會 或 其 他 機 構 所 持 有 的 團 體 通 行證 ;III. 持 有 有 效 的 臨 時 通 行 證 ( 主 要 發 給 外 國 訪 客 )。2. 18 歲 以 下 的 訪 客 必 須 由 成 人 伴 隨 進 入 保 護 區 , 並 負 責 他 們 的 行 為 和 安 全 。4歲 或 以 下 兒 童 基 於 安 全 理 由 禁 止 進 入 保 護 區 ;3. 為 尊 重 保 護 區 內 的 生 態 環 境 及 野 生 生 物 , 請 訪 客 只 在 「 指 定 的 小 徑 」 上 行走 , 並 且 不 要 製 造 噪 音 。 為 保 育 生 態 , 區 內 部 份 地 方 是 「 不 准 進 入 」 的 。「 指 定 的 小 徑 」 已 標 示 在 下 方 的 地 圖 上 。 訪 客 有 責 任 留 意 及 遵 守 相 關 指 示 ;4. 本 會 的 觀 鳥 屋 、 避 雨 亭 及 浮 橋 等 設 施 只 開 放 與 本 會 會 員 。 訪 客 亦 可 參 加 本 會安 排 的 導 賞 活 動 以 便 使 用 上 述 設 施 。 如 欲 了 解 詳 情 , 請 致 電 2482 5237 與 本會 職 員 聯 絡 ;5. 在 觀 鳥 屋 內 , 請 -- 保 持 安 靜 ;- 不 要 把 手 臂 、 望 遠 鏡 或 攝 影 器 材 伸 出 窗 外 ;- 離 開 時 請 將 所 有 窗 戶 關 上 。6. 在 保 護 區 使 用 單 車 並 非 休 閒 活 動 。 持 有 個 人 許 可 證 的 人 士 , 如 有 需 要 在 保 護區 內 使 用 單 車 , 請 先 向 本 會 登 記 。 本 會 斯 科 特 野 外 研 習 中 心 外 設 有 單 車 停 泊處 , 唯 本 會 不 會 對 任 何 停 泊 在 該 處 的 單 車 負 責 。 如 有 需 要 在 保 護 區 內 使 用 單車 , 請 注 意 安 全 ;
