CONTRIBUTIONS TO ROYAL <strong>AIR</strong> FORCE<br />
<strong>AIR</strong> <strong>POWER</strong> <strong>REVIEW</strong><br />
The <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> <strong>Air</strong> Power Review is published under the auspices of Director of Defence Studies (<strong>RAF</strong>) and has the sponsorship<br />
of Assistant Chief of the <strong>Air</strong> Staff. It is intended to provide an open <strong>for</strong>um <strong>for</strong> study which stimulates discussion and thought on air<br />
power in its broadest context. This publication is also intended to support the British armed <strong>for</strong>ces in general and the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> in<br />
particular with respect to the development and application of air power.<br />
Quality contributions from both service and civilian authors are sought which will contribute to the existing knowledge and<br />
understanding of the subject. Any topic relevant to the study of contemporary or historical air power will be considered by the <strong>Air</strong><br />
Power Review Management Board.<br />
Articles should be original and preferably not previously published, although this will not exclude publication in the <strong>Air</strong> Power Review if<br />
the material is considered to be of sufficient merit. The length of articles may vary from as little as 2,000 to an absolute maximum of<br />
10,000 words. Each author will receive a payment of £200 when the article is published. Assistance and research <strong>for</strong> photographic,<br />
illustrative and diagrammatic in<strong>for</strong>mation can be provided, but design <strong>for</strong>mat and graphic presentation of material on page will be at the<br />
discretion of the Editor. Lengthy articles so considered may be published in multiple parts. Bibliographic and other references should<br />
be included as end notes to articles. Contributions from serving military personnel should be in accordance with DCI GEN 313 dated<br />
26 November 1999 (Clearance Procedures <strong>for</strong> Dealing with the Media and Other Public Speaking and Writing). Contributions from<br />
serving <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> personnel must be approved by Publications Clearance Branch (<strong>Air</strong>), Ministry of Defence, 3-5 Great Scotland<br />
Yard, London, SW1A 2HW.<br />
Submissions can be accepted as typed copy or in a variety of electronic IBM or Apple Macintosh based <strong>for</strong>mats on 3.5 inch floppy<br />
disk. A numbered page print out of all text should be accompanied by illustrative, diagrammatic, photographic or other graphic<br />
material intended to illuminate the article. Please send your material to:<br />
