The above assistantships expect weekly eight hours of academic
workload assisting in teaching or research activities of the respective
departments. The continuation of the assistantship (TA/RA) will be
subject to` satisfactory performance of the duties assigned by the
department/centre/school as well as satisfactory academic performance.
3.4 Research Assistantship (RA)
The Assistantship provided for the research assistants also varies based
on the educational qualification and is listed below.

Research assistants have to maintain/supervise the laboratories and also
assist in teaching or research or other work assigned by the Head of the
department/centre/school or Convener of IDPC. They are required to
work for about 16 to 20 hours a week.
As per MHRD directives, the employees of any organization undergoing
Ph.D./Post Graduate Programs by availing study leave with or without
pay are not eligible for Teaching/Research Assistantships. Such
candidates, if found suitable, will have to complete their program as
self-financed/sponsored full time or part time, as the case may be.
