7.2 Clubs under Cultural Council<br />
7.2.1 Rang<br />
Rang, the fine arts club <strong>of</strong> IIT <strong>Bombay</strong>, was founded in 2003 with a<br />
purpose to promote and increase the student participation in fine arts. It<br />
serves as a platform for amateur inmates to showcase their work, and to<br />
develop skills as well. In the past, use <strong>of</strong> eco-friendly materials was<br />
encouraged to make Ganesh idol during Ganapti Utsav.<br />

7.2.2 Pixel<br />
Pixel, the photography club <strong>of</strong> IIT <strong>Bombay</strong>, encourages participation <strong>of</strong><br />
photography enthusiastic students - both novice and experienced. It<br />
conducts photography session to the beginners by experts in the field. It<br />
hosts, together with Rang, Kaladarshan (KD) - the annual photography<br />
and fine art exhibition, to showcase and promote the club activities.<br />

7.2.3 Silverscreen<br />
Silverscreen is the film making club <strong>of</strong> IIT <strong>Bombay</strong>. Started in 2008 by<br />
a few film enthusiasts, the club has ever since promoted the culture <strong>of</strong><br />
film making and film appreciation amongst the student community <strong>of</strong><br />
IIT-<strong>Bombay</strong>. The club has won several prestigious awards at various<br />
inter-college competitions across India, film festivals and has had its<br />
movies screened at high pr<strong>of</strong>ile platforms. The flagship event <strong>of</strong> the club<br />
is the 'IIT-<strong>Bombay</strong> Film Festival' where several <strong>of</strong> the movies shot by<br />
the club during the year are screened along with acclaimed movies from<br />
outside and interactive sessions with the industry pr<strong>of</strong>essionals.<br />

Fourth Wall is the dramatics club <strong>of</strong> IIT <strong>Bombay</strong>. Although a hub for all<br />
