6 Lancaster City Schools: Roadway to a Strong Community /; $/+-/67 $+/ #4387 2 +2-+78/6 +776337 When students return to their classrooms this year, there will be some new faces to greet them. Below is information on the district’s new teachers. Kimberly Agosta Fifth Grade – South Elementary Ms. Agosta received her BS from Otterbein College in June 2000. She was previously employed as a third grade teacher at Fairfield Christian Academy. Amy Bell Science – General Shermal Ms. Bell received her BS from Ohio University in June 2008. She taught previously at Groveport Community School as a fourth grade teacher. Lyndsey Bibbey Science – General Sherman Ms. Bibbey received her degree from the University of Toledo in December 2004. She was previously employed by South-Western City Schools as a high school physical science teacher. Cassandra Bull Music Ms. Bull received her BA from Ashland University in May 2009. Ms. Bull did her student teaching at Hillsdale Middle and High Schools. Sarah Chevalier Physical Education and Girls Basketball Coach – Lancaster High School Ms. Chevalier received her BA from Otterbein College in June 2001 and her MA from the University of Cincinnati in July 2006. She worked previously at Pickerington Ridgeview and in the Liberty Union- Thurston School District. She did her student teaching at Reynoldsburg Junior High School. Corey Conn Social Studies – General Sherman Mr.ConnreceivedhisBAfromBluffton University in May 2009. He completed his student teaching at Bath High School in Lima, Ohio. Karen Dewey Fifth Grade – Tarhe Ms. Dewey received her BA from Ohio University in March 2009. She completed her student teaching at Tarhe Elementary School. Chris DiTommaso Social Studies – Lancaster High School Mr. DiTommaso received his BA from The Ohio State University in June 2005 and his MA in June 2006. He completed his student teaching at Eastland Career Center in Groveport and Hilliard Davidson High School. Chelsea Durdel Latin–LancasterHighSchool Ms. Durdel received her BS from Bowling Green State University in May 2009. She completed her student teaching at Start High School in Toledo. Alex Eversole Math–LancasterHighSchool Mr. Eversole received his BS from Ohio Dominican University in May 2009. He completed his student teaching at Pickerington North High School. William (Jeff) Eversole Career Tech Criminal Science Mr. Eversole completed Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement classes at Ohio University. He was a substitute teacher at Pickaway Ross Technical Center in Chillicothe, where he taught high school law enforcement. He has also been a police officer with the Circleville police department. Robert Gallagher Intervention Specialist – General Sherman Mr. Gallagher received his BA from Muskingum College in October 2004. He did his student teaching at New Concord Elementary School and the Muskingum College Center for Child Development. Matthew Gillespie Language Arts – Lancaster High School Mr. Gillespie received his BA from Kent State University in May 2008. He did his student teaching at Aurora High School. Mr. Gillespie was a long-term subteacherwithLancasterCitySchoolslastyear. Katelyn Harcha Third Grade – West Ms. Harcha received her BA from Ohio University in June 2009. She did her student teaching at Tallmadge Preschool. Joseph Hites Health – Lancaster High School Mr. Hites received his BS from California State University in June 1990. He previously taught at CheyenneMountainHighSchoolinColorado Springs, Colorado. Mr. Hites is the varsity boys’ basketball coach. Karole Hites First Grade – Tarhe Ms. Hites received her BA from California State University in 1995 and her MA from the University of Phoenix in December 2007. She did her student teaching at Pinon Valley Elementary School.

She did her student teaching at Mineral Wells Elementary School in MineralWells,WV.Ms.Jarrettwasasubstitute teacher with Lancaster City Schools. Carrie Kanipe Intervention Specialist – Thomas Ewing Ms. Kanipe received her BS from Bowling Green State University in December 1995. She did her student teaching at Starr Elementary School in Oregon, Ohio. She previously taught at Jonathan Alder Local Schools in Plain City, Ohio. Amanda Kolbe Math–ThomasEwing Ms. Kolbe received her BA from Wittenberg University in May 2001 and her MS from Wright State University in June 2007. She did her student teaching at Clark Middle School and Rolling Hills Elementary in Springfield. She was previously employed at Springfield City Schools. Barbie Lumbard Kindergarent –Tallmadge Ms. Lumbard received her BA at Ohio University in August 2008. She did her student teaching at Tallmadge Elementary School. Ms. Lumbard was previously a long-term sub teacher with Lancaster City Schools. Makiah Maxson Art–ThomasEwing Ms. Maxon received her BA from The Ohio State University in June 2007. She did her student teaching at Griffith Thomas Elementary in Dublin and CentralCrossingHighSchoolinGroveCity. Kelly McCurdy Language – Lancaster High School Ms. McCurdy received her BA from Ohio University in June 2009. She did her student teaching at Lancaster High School. Penny McDowell Third Grade – Medill Ms. McDowell received her BA from Ohio Wesleyan University in May 1992, an MA from Bowling Green State University in August 1999 and an MA from Antioch University in June 2006. Elizabeth McKee-Boyden Third Grade – Medill Ms. McKee-Boyden received her BA from Ohio State University in June 2007. She did her student teachingatColumbusSchoolforGirlsandEast Franklin Elementary in the Southwestern City School District . Katherine Rogers Intervention Specialist – Cedar Heights Ms. Rogers received her BS from Ohio University in June 2008. She did her student teaching at Logan High School. Michael Ryan Language Arts –Lancaster High School Mr. Ryan received his BA from The Ohio State University in August 2000, his MA from Ohio University in August 2002, and his Ph.D from Ohio University in November 2007. He did his student teaching at Ohio University in Athens and OU- Chillicothe. Mark Urbine Intervention Specialist – Lancaster High School Mr. Urbine received his BS from Westchester State College in December 1980. He did his student teaching at Coatesville Area Senior High School in Coatesville, PA. Jennifer Weinfurtner First Grade – Cedar Heights Ms. Weinfurtner received her BS from Ohio University in November 2006. She did her student teaching at Morrison Elementary and Ohio University Child Development Center in Athens. Tyler Young Music – Elementary Mr. Young received his BME at Otterbein College in June 2009. He did his student teaching at Lincoln Elementary in the Gahanna School District. You have promise.
