a. The interventions carried out
- Completion of habitat restoration works in the
Sarnico and Predore sectors, with the submerging
of a total of 160 bundles of branches and
12 whole trees;
- Completion of 90% of the dredging and
hydraulic cleaning operations in the Sarnico zone
(11,500 m 3 worth of materials moved);
- Creation of 110 m 3 of submerged reefs, used
as refuges for fish and in order to protect the
beaches in the Sarnico sector;
- Creation of 850 m 2 of new beaches for the
reproduction of target species of littoral fish, such
as the shad, the bleak and the whitefish, in the
Sarnico sector;
- Submerging 36 small trees in order to encourage
the colonisation and reproduction of certain
species of fish in the Iseo and Predore sectors;
- Submerging 40 large trunks and branches in
order to create a new habitat suitable for
colonisation by large predators (such as pike) in a
sector near Iseo;
- Restoration of the historic eel fishery at Sarnico
- Paratico (removal of damaged infrastructures,
submerging 51 new posts, planting of 46 trees,
submerging 50 m3 of backfill, and of 115 fascines
of branches in groups of 5);
