Enterprise Odisha <strong>2010</strong><br />

19 – 23 November, Bhubaneswar<br />

Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha, addressing Enterprise Odisha <strong>2010</strong><br />

Enterprise Odisha <strong>2010</strong>, the largest industrial and consumer<br />

fair of Odisha was organized jointly by <strong>CII</strong> Eastern Region<br />

and the Government of Orissa primarily to explore the<br />

business opportunities and to showcase the potential of<br />

the state. Spread over an area of 5000 sq. metres with<br />

more than 200 stalls, Enterprise Odisha <strong>2010</strong> witnessed<br />

exhibitors from all over the state and Eastern Region.<br />

Coinciding with Enterprise Odisha, parallel enriching<br />

sessions on International Linkage, Ancillarisation of MSME,<br />

Soft Skill Development, Industry Prepared Education, Skill<br />

Gap Mapping besides many others were organised.<br />

Enterprise Odisha <strong>2010</strong> was inaugurated by Mr Naveen<br />

Patnaik, Chief Minister of Orissa.<br />

With the objective of promoting tourism and industry<br />

through sport, <strong>CII</strong> Eastern Region organized the<br />

3rd edition of <strong>CII</strong> Eastern Region Golf Cup at<br />

Bhubaneswar Golf Course<br />

on 19 – 20 November<br />

<strong>2010</strong>. Around 60 golfers,<br />

including 10 ladies, from<br />

West Bengal, Jharkhand<br />

and Odisha took part in<br />

the event.<br />

Principal Secretary, Industries, Odisha<br />

A high level 25 member <strong>CII</strong> delegation led by<br />

Mr Kurush Grant, Chairman, <strong>CII</strong> Eastern Region<br />

called on Mr Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of<br />

Odisha in Bhubaneswar. The delegation briefed the<br />

Chief Minister about proposed <strong>CII</strong> initiatives in the<br />

field of Industrial Development, Education & Skill<br />

Development, Environmental Sustainability, Agriculture,<br />

and Development of the MSMEs, besides others.<br />

Mr. Patnaik assured his full support towards the<br />

initiatives of <strong>CII</strong> in Odisha in ensuring overall growth<br />

and development of the state.<br />

<strong>CII</strong> Odisha State Council organised MSME Linkage<br />

<strong>2010</strong> to facilitate the state based MSME sector to take<br />

advantage of the various policies and schemes of<br />

the Government of Odisha as well as of the Central<br />

Government. Mr Ramesh Datla, Chairman, <strong>CII</strong> MSME<br />

Council elaborated on <strong>CII</strong>’s initiatives for building<br />

global competitiveness in Indian Small & Medium<br />

Industries. Mr K Khatai, Director, Directorate of Industries,<br />

Odisha, emphasized the new wave of industrialization<br />

in Odisha.<br />

Exploring Overseas Partnership Avenues<br />

23 November, Bhubaneswar<br />

<strong>CII</strong> Odisha State Council organized a session on<br />

Exploring Partnership Avenues with Overseas Countries<br />

to showcase opportunities for local businesses to work<br />

with industries in overseas countries and to spread<br />

awareness on the investment and export potential of<br />
