ISO Public Protection Classes – 1-7 are eligible, 8-10 must be submitted for approval<br />

Number of locations – more than 4 locations must be submitted<br />

Coastal Locations – within 25 miles of the Eastern Seaboard or 75 miles of the Gulf of Mexico are<br />

ineligible<br />

Years in Business – must have been in business for more than 1 year and any risks in business<br />

less than 3 years must be submitted for approval<br />

Losses – Risks with more than 3 losses, any weather loss over $25,000, or any non-weather loss<br />

over $10,000 in the past 3 years must be submitted<br />

Liquor Liability is available on selected class codes as long as there has not been a liquor license<br />

violation within the last three years<br />

Limited Cooking and Fast Food Classes, excluding Burger King, McDonald’s, Rally’s, Taco Bell,<br />

Wendy’s<br />

Fine and Casual Dining Classes are available in approved States<br />

Square Footage – 10,000 maximum per building<br />

Annual Gross Revenue – $5,000,000 maximum per location<br />

Total Insured Value (TIV) – $5,000,000 total of buildings and personal property per location<br />

Building Age – Greater than 30 years without updates to the heating, roof, electrical and plumbing<br />

systems are ineligible.<br />

Construction – Frame Construction requires sprinklers, otherwise all ISO construction types<br />

Height – No more than 2 stories<br />

Ineligible:<br />

‣ Alcoholic beverages brought onto premises by customers (BYOB arrangements)<br />

‣ Bars with primary business of alcohol sales and very limited food items<br />

‣ Burger King, McDonald’s, Rally’s, Taco Bell, Wendy’s<br />

‣ Dance floors or regular live entertainment beyond karaoke, DJs or one-person performers<br />

‣ Hired and non-owned auto coverage when employees use personal vehicles for delivery<br />

‣ Liquor sale promotions “Happy Hours” after 7:30pm must be submitted to underwriting<br />

‣ Liquor sales over 25% of total sales for all Limited Cooking and Fast Food Class Codes<br />

‣ Liquor sales over the total sales percentages specified by the Fine and Casual Dining Class<br />

Codes listed in the quoting system or in the Class Codes in Appendix A of this Guide<br />

‣ Maximum 10% of sales from off-site catering<br />

‣ Playground (inside or outside) including sports courts, pools or mechanical amusement<br />

devises including bull rides<br />

‣ Seasonal operations or those open 24 hours<br />

‣ Seating capacity over 300<br />

Ineligible Related to Cooking:<br />

‣ Cooking appliances that emit smoke or grease-laden vapors that are NOT covered by an<br />

automatic extinguishing system meeting UL300 criteria of NFPA Standard #96, or that are<br />

NOT inspected under a current maintenance contract at least every quarter<br />

‣ Open broiling or solid fuel cooking with wood, charcoal or mesquite<br />
