Kicking off the GOTV
2012 Presidents Conference a success
OCSEA kicked off its Get Out the Vote efforts with a bang at
the Presidents Conference held in Columbus. Workshops
on legislative activity, phone banking, canvassing and GOTV
strategy were packed with members. Keynote speakers included candidates
for the Ohio Supreme Court: William O'Neill, Yvette McGee
Brown and Michael Skindell. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown also appeared
via video and encouraged conference participants to continue the fight
this election year. A rousing game of “What’s in Jeopardy?” during lunch
showed OCSEA members what they could have lost if Senate Bill 5 had
passed, and why GOTV efforts are just as important this election.
