Tracz, Continued
from The Ohio State University, the
MM degree from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison, and the BME
from The Ohio State University.
He has several years experience
teaching in the public schools of
Ohio and Wisconsin.
Tracz is a past member of the
Music Education Journal Editorial
Board, and is a contributor to the
series Teaching Music Through
Performance in Band. He is a
member of Pi Kappa Lambda.
In March of 2012, he was elected
to the American Bandmasters
Association.
He is Past President of the Kansas
Bandmasters Association, and
Director of the Manhattan Municipal
Band.
Tracz has been honored with
the Stamey award for Outstanding
Teaching, recognized as a Mortar
B o a r d O u t s t a n d i n g F a c u l t y
Member, and participates in the
KSU Presidential Lecture Series.
Additionally, he was honored with
the Outstanding Bandmaster Award
from KBA and Phi Beta Mu. In
December 2006, Tracz was named a
Lowell Mason Fellow by the National
Association for Music Education.
Tracz was recently elected to the
prestigious American Bandmasters
Association in February of 2012.
