Tracz is a past member of the<br />
<strong>Music</strong> Education Journal Editorial<br />
Board, and is a contributor to the<br />
series Teaching <strong>Music</strong> Through<br />
Performance in Band. He is a<br />
member of Pi Kappa Lambda.<br />
In March of 20<strong>12</strong>, he was elected<br />
to the American Bandmasters<br />
Association.<br />
He is Past President of the Kansas<br />
Bandmasters Association, and<br />
Director of the Manhattan Municipal<br />
Band.<br />
Tracz has been honored with<br />
the Stamey award for Outstanding<br />
Teaching, recognized as a Mortar<br />
B o a r d O u t s t a n d i n g F a c u l t y<br />
Member, and participates in the<br />
KSU Presidential Lecture Series.<br />
Additionally, he was honored with<br />
the Outstanding Bandmaster Award<br />
from KBA and Phi Beta Mu. In<br />
December 2006, Tracz was named a<br />
Lowell Mason Fellow by the National<br />
Association for <strong>Music</strong> Education.<br />
Tracz was recently elected to the<br />
prestigious American Bandmasters<br />
Association in February of 20<strong>12</strong>.<br />
