Sacroiliac Dislocation<br />

Approach:<br />

Sacroiliac Dislocations can be operated<br />

through the Posterior or Anterior<br />

<strong>Pelvic</strong> Ring approach.<br />

Fixation:<br />

• A sacroiliac dislocation is fixed<br />

by using a 6.5 or 8.0mm Asnis III<br />

cannulated iliosaccral screw.<br />

Reduction/Fixation through the Posterior or Anterior <strong>Pelvic</strong> Ring Surgical<br />

Approach.<br />

Sacroiliac <strong>Fracture</strong> – Dislocation<br />

Approach:<br />

A Posterior <strong>Pelvic</strong> Ring surgical<br />

approach is used to reduce/fix a<br />

sacroiliac fracture dislocation.<br />

Fixation:<br />

• One 4.5 or 6.5mm independent<br />

lag screw is placed starting from<br />

the posterior-inferior iliac spine to<br />

stabilize the reduction of the inferior<br />

aspect of the iliac wing.<br />

• One MPS Flex six-hole Plate stabilizes<br />

the reduction of the iliac crest.<br />

• One 6.5 or 8.0mm Asnis III<br />

cannulated ilio-sacral lag screw fixes<br />

the sacroiliac joint.<br />
