Santa Claus is coming to town
Saturday, December 18, 2010. The
St. James Fire Department will
once again play host to Santa
Claus and his friends for the 30th
annual Christmas and Holiday Parade
“The Festival of Lights.”
The St. James Fire Department
Juniors are having a food drive for
the local food pantry and are requesting
all donations of nonperishable
food items to be brought to
the Main Fire House on Route 25A
and Lake Avenue before 5 p.m. on
December 18. They will also be
collecting at the Mills Pond Elementary
School at approximately
7:15 p.m. that night.
The parade departs at 5 p.m. Be
sure to see all the brightly lit and
holiday decorated fire trucks as
they travel throughout the streets of
St. James in celebration of this holiday
season.
The Fire Department requests
residents on side streets to keep
their cars off the road and move
them into driveways during the parade
as this route has some very

You can see the brightly lit
trucks at the following viewing
spots: Sts. Philip & James Church
at 6:10 p.m.; King Kullen at 6:15
p.m.; Capital One Bank at 6:18
p.m. Then they will take a 20
minute break at Station Two and
then on with the parade. They will
pass the Luthern Church at 6:45
p.m. and then on to Mills Pond Elementary
School at 7:15 p.m. (15
minutes) where candy cane s will
be passed out and you can take
pictures with all the characters.
The St. James Fire Department
extends holiday greetings to all.
