Our volunteer roles
are designed to fit
around your busy lives.
Many of these roles
only need a few hours
of your attention a
month – but these
are vital roles which
we MUST fill to
ensure Parents Centre
runs smoothly.
No previous experience
required. Training,
support and good
company provided.
Parent Education Coordinator: The Parent Education
Coordinator organises our Tinies to Tots classes, Magic Moments
parenting classes, and our one-off sessions. This includes
confirming speakers, organising hosts, and providing general
oversight for the courses. Time commitment: couple of hours a
fortnight.
Child Birth Educator Coordinator: We need someone to be
our ‘go to’ person for our Child Birth Educators (CBE’s). These fantastic
women teach our antenatal classes and need a designated person in
our committee to contact to ensure these classes are a success. Time
commitment: approx an hour a month.
Advertising Coordinator: Our current Advertising Coordinator
intends to stand down from the role and needs someone to take
over from her. This job involves liaising with existing and new
advertisers and forwarding all advertisements to the Editor of our
newsletter. It also involves maintaining the Membership Discount
Scheme. Time commitment is about 5 hours per month.
Venue Coordinator: A small but essential role! The Venue
Coordinator handles our venue bookings (an annual task) and
then throughout the year makes sure that the supplies and
resources kept at our venues in Epsom and Onehunga are
well stocked and in order. Time commitment: a few hours a
fortnight
