The frequency of on calls would be 1 in 14 as part of the senior trainee/consultant rota at Torbay<br />
hospital.<br />
The trainee would be expected to provide advice for (and attend if required) any emergencies and<br />
requests for Mental Health Act assessments of patients at Torbay hospital, APOS suite, Police<br />
Custody and in the community (Torbay, Teignbridge, part of <strong>South</strong> Hams area) . They would also be<br />
expected to advise/support the junior doctors (FT/ST 1-3) who will be 1 st on call in psychiatry. There<br />
would be a consultant on call along with the ST4-6 trainee, for clinical supervision and support.<br />
Trainees could also attend the out of hours supervision group conducted by the new liaison psychiatry<br />
team at Torbay Hospital.<br />
