Demesne' and would adversely affect the landcsape setting of Saintfield,<br />

thereby harming the environmental quality, integrity and character of the area.<br />

<strong>The</strong> proposal is contrary to Policies CTY1 and CTY15 of Draft <strong>Planning</strong> Policy<br />

Statement 21, Sustainable Development in the Countryside in that there are no<br />

overriding reasons why this development is essential in this rural location and<br />

could not be located within a settlement; and the development would, if<br />

permitted, clearly mar the distinction between the defined settlement limit of<br />

Saintfield and the surrounding countryside and result in urban sprawl.<br />
