INTRODUCTION<br />
The objectives of the Port Management<br />
Association of Eastern and Southern<br />
Africa (<strong>PMAESA</strong>), as stated in the<br />
Constitution, are as follows:<br />
a) To offer a propitious framework for<br />
meetings and exchange of<br />
information and ideas between<br />
members and to create an enabling<br />
environment whereby memberstates<br />
can interface with one another<br />
in the port, transport and trade<br />
arenas.<br />
b) To work towards improving<br />
conditions of utilisation and<br />
management of ports in the eastern<br />
and Southern Africa region as well as<br />
enhancing their efficiency.<br />
c) To establish and maintain relations<br />
with other port authorities or<br />
associations, regional and<br />
international organisations,<br />
governments or other institutions,<br />
for the study of matters of interest to<br />
all members of the Association and<br />
to ensure the development of the<br />
maritime activities of the memberstates<br />
<strong>PMAESA</strong> VISION<br />
