Two short operas to be performed separately, or toge<strong>the</strong>r as “A Star Over Fifth Avenue”.<br />
“Della’s Gift” is set at <strong>the</strong> beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> early 1900s, and is based on <strong>the</strong> O. Henry story, “The Gift<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Magi.” “Holy Night” is an orig<strong>in</strong>al story by librettist Paul Woodruff, and imag<strong>in</strong>es a story tak<strong>in</strong>g<br />
place <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> same apartment 100 years later, at <strong>the</strong> beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 21st century. Both operas deal with<br />
<strong>the</strong>mes <strong>of</strong> love and its trials.<br />
