Board Minutes - 2 January 15, 2013 MINUTES Approved the minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 11, 2012. Action: Carried Motion: Mrs. Judi Carmona Ayes: 5 Second: Mrs. Karin Freeman Noes: 0 RECOGNITIONS/PRESENTATIONS None PUBLIC COMMENT Dr. Ned Doffoney, Chancellor of the North Orange County Community College District, introduced Mr. Tony Ontiveros, a member of the NOCCD Board of Trustees who spoke briefly regarding the valuable partnership between the NOCCD and the PYLUSD, indicating that he represents our district on the Board. STUDENT BOARD REPORT Student Board Representative Chad Fixa provided a brief report of the activities and events occurring at the district’s high schools. The Board recognized Chad for his tenure on the Board of Education as the Student Board Representative. SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT • Mr. Richard McAlindin, Director of Executive Services, shared briefly regarding the ongoing process to establish a new strategic plan for the District and provided a packet of information to Board members for their review in preparation for the Board Study Session on February 14, 2013. • Mrs. Jayne Christakos, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, indicated that although the Governor has released the 2013-2014 State budget proposal, we must await further analysis of the budget to know the impact on the District.
