EXT. EXHIBIT AREA - DAY
The cart stops in front of a rocky wall <strong>by</strong> the side of a
large pool of water. The janitor takes a mop and turns,
accidentally knocking Marlin's bucket off the cart. Marlin
spills out, across some gravel, and into the pool.
EXT. POOL - DAY
Marlin hits the water. Through the surface, he sees the
janitor picking up the bucket, unaware that Marlin was ever
in it. Marlin shakes himself and takes a deep breath. Where
is he? TWO MORE PARK WORKERS walk <strong>by</strong> the janitor. Marlin
hears a bit of their conversation.
PARK WORKER
Did you hear about the plugged pipe
out in the bay? All the pumps and
the chiller units are down.
Marlin starts swimming around, trying to see where he is.
MARLIN
(to himself)
Okay, things could be worse. Deep
breath, deep breath.
INT. POOL - LATER
Marlin keeps swimming, looking for a way out.
MARLIN
(deep breaths)
Let it in. Let it out. Let it go.
Suddenly, a huge white POLAR BEAR face arises before him.
Ahhhhhhh!!
MARLIN (CONT'D)
The polar bear, BLANCA, bares her teeth and lets out a GROWL.
Marlin almost faints, rearing backwards. Blanca lunges, but
somehow manages to slip on an underwater rock formation.
She ends up banging her nose against the side of the tank.
She holds her nose with her paw.
BLANCA
(nasal)
Ow. I'm sorry. But, um, I have to
eat you. It's nothing personal.
Wait, that didn't sound ferocious
enough, did it? Let me try again...
