Remy looks confused.
CLAM (CONT'D)
Depend on no one, and you will not
be disappointed.
In spite of himself, Remy finds himself listening.
CLAM (CONT'D)
Remember, rely on yourself, and no
one can hurt you.
Remy opens his mouth to say something, but the Clam shuts
his shell.
CLAM (CONT'D)
I want to be alone now.
Remy looks around at the closed clam and the closed oyster,
and thinks on the clam's words.
INT. POLAR BEAR TANK - DAY
The mercury in the thermometer has drifted a tick lower.
Marlin looks mournfully at the heavily grated outflow pipe.
Blanca tries to mollify him.
BLANCA
But it's so nice having someone to
talk to. You'll get used to it here.
(gesturing)
You've got rocks, and logs, and water.
Just then, SPLASH, a watermelon lands near<strong>by</strong>.
BLANCA (CONT'D)
<strong>An</strong>d watermelon...
She swims over to it, and takes it in all four paws as she
floats on her back in the water.
BLANCA (CONT'D)
Not everyone knows this about polar
bears. We love watermelon.
She takes a big bite and grins. Pink watermelon juice runs
down the corners of her mouth.

eat dead sea anemone tentacles and
bits of debris...
