MARLIN (CONT'D)
In they go.
INT. PLANET BLUE CONTROL ROOM - DAY
Hands begin pushing buttons on a large control panel.
INT. OUTFLOW PIPE - DAY
As our gang swims along, they become aware of a RATTLING and
BANGING in the pipes up ahead. The backwash has started.
In the distance, they can see valves SLAMMING SHUT, like
bank vault doors, one after another. The fish stop short.
Up ahead, the valves keep shutting in progression.
MARLIN
We've gotta go back!
Back?
DORY
MARLIN
Hurry! Or we'll be trapped!
They turn, and start racing back through the pipe. The doors
keep closing behind them. If they don't get out soon, they'll
be stuck in the pipe between two shut valves.
Up ahead, they can see the entrance they came in. All they
have to do is get through one last valve. Nemo and Remy
swim with all their might to keep up with Marlin and Dory.
MARLIN (CONT'D)
(yelling)
Come on!
In front of them, the last valve starts to close.
EXT. MARSH - DAY
Marlin and Dory shoot through the outflow pipe. Dory looks
over her shoulder to see Nemo and Remy barely getting out
with their tails intact as the metal valve SLAMS into place.
Still swimming, Dory turns too late to see a root right in
front of her. She hits it at full speed. CRASH. She's
knocked out.

(yelling)
