Meet Jennifer Ambrester
LFPOA Food and Beverage Director
With over ten years of both
"Front and Back of House"
hospitality knowledge, Jennifer
hails from the Charleston,
South Carolina campus of
Johnson and Wales University.
It was there that she
received her Associate's in
Culinary Arts and a Bachelors
in Food Service/Hospitality
Management.
Jennifer says, "My journey
in this profession has allowed
me to travel throughout Europe
with the soul purpose of
catering to the Formal One
Grand Prix to an event planner
with the St. Louis Metropolitan
Zoological Park."
Most recently, she has held
Jennifer Ambrester the position of Sous Chef
for the University of South
Alabama's Catering Department
for over two years. She looks forward to bringing her
knowledge and passion for the culinary arts to the Lake
Forest Yacht and Country Club. "While I also look forward to
getting to know each and every member and their guests, I
am equally excited to not only meeting your expectations but
exceeding them!," Jennifer says. So welcome Jennifer to the
staff of Lake Forest.

official approval or implementation of this proposal.
In order for Mr. Johnson’s proposal to be implemented, the City Council of Daphne
would have to approve and be willing to take the necessary steps. Of course,
the City will not even initiate the first steps toward implementing this proposal
unless there is a solid basis of citizen approval from Lake Forest residents since
the proposal contains the possibility of an assessment and also obligates the City of
Daphne to do millions of dollars of road work over the next few years. This proposal
would require a commitment both from the City and from Lake Forest residents.
Mr. Johnson made his proposal first to the Board of Directors of the Lake Forest
Property Owners’ Association in order to get opinions on how this proposal might
be received. The Board has placed a survey on its website so that residents can
express their views. These will be passed on to the Department of Public Works
and the City.
The Board of Directors believe that their duties include publishing information
on issues affecting Lake Forest residents. This proposal is such an issue. The
Board believes that Lake Forest residents should be aware that this proposal has
been made. Further, the residents need to know the details of the proposal. That
is the reason the presentation in its entirety was placed on the website in the expectation
that Lake Forest residents would view it and be informed.
Some misinformation has been circulated that the potential assessment involved
in the road proposal, if it were to be implemented, is somehow connected to association
dues or assessments in Lake Forest. This is not true. Lake Forest Property
Owners’ Association and its Board of Directors have no connections to the City. Association
dues and assessments are totally separate from any taxes or assessments
related to the City of Daphne.
The Board provides a forum for this proposal and other items and issues that
we believe of interest to our residents. Our goal is to provide more information and
better avenues of communication. Therefore, we invite you to visit our website at

Take the Road Survey
The Lake Forest Board of Directors wants to hear from You! Please read the
following carefully before completing the survey, your opinion is critical to help determine
what recommendations are made regarding future roadway improvements
within Lake Forest.
The Daphne Public Works department and the city’s engineers have made a
proposal to repair and enhance the roads within Lake Forest, the detailed plan
is available on our website, www.Lakeforestpoa.org. The department of Public
Works acknowledges that the roads and storm water management system are their
responsibility but improvements and enhancements such as curbs, gutters and
median renovations are not.
This means that it is unlikely that the city will fund any further curb, gutter, or
median renovation as has been done at the Lawson and North entrances without
Lake Forest residents agreeing to an assessment to fund the improvements.
The Public Works department has offered three options which are described on
the website and represented in the linked survey. Again we ask that you read the
options carefully and then click on the survey link and select the option you favor.
Your input on the survey will help determine whether or not a recommendation
is made to the city that the residents of Lake Forest support a program to enhance
and improve the roadways. Help us represent you, give us your opinion.
