The RDQ has proven to be a reliable, valid and change-sensitive instrument which<br />

can differentiate also between patients with different <strong>back</strong> <strong>pain</strong> intensities. [12]<br />

The following statistical values of the German-Austrian version of the RDQ were<br />

identified in 1999 <strong>by</strong> Wiesinger et al. [67]:<br />

o Pearson's correlation coefficient for test-retest reliability was r=0.82<br />

(P=0.0001).<br />

o Cronbach's alpha was 0.81.<br />

o The concurrent validity r was 0.81 (RDQ/<strong>pain</strong> rating; P=0.0001).<br />
