<strong>The</strong> 4th annual Friends of Brantwood Road <strong>Jimmy</strong> <strong>Fund</strong> Golf Tournament reached new<br />

heights in 2012. Tournament organizers celebrated their success after raising more than<br />

$61,000 and having a great day at Pine Hills Golf Course in Plymouth, Mass.<br />

Penelope Kavalieros (second from left) and her kindergarten classmates cheered on the golfers at<br />

the second annual Golf Fights Cancer— Ellie Kavalieros Good Guys, Good Gals Invitational, created<br />

as a tribute to her sister. <strong>The</strong> tournament, held at the Deerwood Country Club in Jacksonville,<br />

Fla., raised $130,000 to support DIPG brain tumor research at Dana-Farber.<br />

With $97,000 raised at the 4th annual Tom Cosenzi Charity Golf Tournament to support<br />

the brain tumor research of Dana-Farber’s Patrick Wen, MD, tournament committee<br />

members (left to right) Michael Hyder, Carla Cosenzi, Gayle Bover, Tommy Cosenzi,<br />

and Shannon Allen gathered to celebrate the memory of Carla and Tommy’s father.<br />

Sarah and Rick Hamilton organized the 5th annual Chickaroo Classic at Hickory Hill Golf<br />

Course in Methuen, Mass., in honor of their daughter Caroline (center). <strong>The</strong> event raised more<br />

than $30,000 to help fund PGLA brain tumor research at Dana-Farber.<br />

Catherine Drouin started the Green Mountain Communications Wireless Open in<br />

memory of her father and in honor of her mother, a Dana-Farber patient and Stage IV<br />

throat cancer survivor. Her family (left to right) Kyle, Victor, and Nate joined her on the<br />

course in Wolfeboro, N.H., where the event raised more than $39,000.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Svenson Family continued their tradition of playing golf to fund cancer genetics fellowships<br />

at Dana-Farber by raising nearly $215,000 at the 5th annual John R. Svenson Classic,<br />

hosted at <strong>The</strong> Golf Club of Cape Cod in Falmouth, Mass.
