Therefore it can prove <strong>in</strong>sightful to analyze which segments these large<br />
amounts are be<strong>in</strong>g spent on.<br />
As a rule of thumb, a third comprises of hospital services and another<br />
quarter of ambulatory <strong>care</strong>. Medical goods and pharmaceuticals amount<br />
to 20%, whereas 10% is directed towards nurs<strong>in</strong>g and residential <strong>care</strong>;<br />
public <strong>health</strong> organizations and adm<strong>in</strong>istration receive 7%.
