It is recommended that patients are involved in all aspects of the
discharge plan and that their views are sought and documented.
It is recommended that the arrangements for observing patients using
the assessment bedrooms are reviewed and that this is undertaken on
the basis of identified need. It is also recommended that when patients
do not requie this level of observation, they are afforded maximum
privacy.
It is recommended that all staff receive training in challenging
behaviour, to include the use of restrictive practices and physical
interventions.

M.A.T.H.S training - 15 staff are
now trained and 2 staff have
been referred to occupational
health after being deemed
medically unfit to complete the
training. These two staff will be
trained when occupational
health declare them medically
