Called “Glaoch”, <strong>the</strong> Irish word for “Calling” this is <strong>the</strong> first event of its kind. It<br />
is a ga<strong>the</strong>ring of <strong>the</strong> pre-eminent artists and entertainers in <strong>the</strong> world of Irish<br />
music and arts, each of whom is responding to <strong>the</strong> President’s invitation to<br />
come to his home for a celebration of <strong>the</strong> best of what Irish culture has to<br />
offer. Artists participating include Hollywood actor, Gabriel Byrne, U2 Frontman,<br />
Bono, Poet, Seamus Heaney, Singer/Songwriters, Lisa Hannigan, Glen Hansard,<br />
Imelda May and Christy Moore, and international group, The Script.<br />

performance placed an immigrant people at <strong>the</strong> heart of <strong>the</strong> American dream<br />
and forged a cultural legacy that endures still to this day.<br />
