A two-part ‘observational’ documentary series focusing on the work of
Midwife Una O’Brien, Ireland’s first Teen Pregnancy Specialist, based in Our
Lady of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda. Over the course of 6 months, the
cameras will chronicle the stories of a number of Teen Mums to be, their
partners and their families as they prepare for the births of their babies
under the watchful guidance of Una.
A Firebrand Production for RTÉ
No Time To Die sees pediatric palliative care through the eyes of four families,
offering a rare insight into the realities of life caring for a dying child. Over a
six-month period we get to know the children, families and staff of Lauralynn
House, Ireland’s only pediatric palliative care service. We build powerful,
intimate portrayals of these people who consider the hospice a home away
from home. Beyond Lauralynn, we meet other families who are trying to care
for their child in a hospice at home setting, with the support of community
nurses, and organisations like the Jack and Jill Foundation. We see the
daily struggles as parents become round the clock caregivers administering
medications and trying to keep their children comfortable.
