Table no.1: Basic Project Information
The project is situated in Shihor Taluka of Bhavnagar District. The project comprises four villages viz. Sanosara, Gadhula, Bhutiya &
Piparadi. Total Geographical Area of the cluster is 5358.70 Ha. & the proposed Project Area is 4858.70 Ha.. Total project cost is Rs. 583.04 Lakh.
The biggest village is Sanosara, so project cluster is identified with its name. District Watershed Development Unit, Bhavnagar is appointed as
Project Managing Authority and Deputy Conservator of Forests, Bhavnagar Division, Bhavnagar is appointed as Project Implementing Agency for
this project.
All the Four villages are well connected with pucca road. Main communities in the villages are Patel, Koli, Khatriya, Maldhari & Harijan.
People of these villages are primarily dependent on rain-fed agriculture, agriculture based labour and animal husbandry. The cluster comprises 4
micro watersheds viz. 5G2C2c3g / 5G2C2c3q / 5G2C2c3h / 5G2C2c3n. There are streams named Sindari, Gadhuli, Lindaki, Kansari River in the
project area.
