Media and Promotional Highlights<br />

Club Promotions<br />

Provided publicity and editorial promotion to Western<br />

Australian country racing clubs via on-course and off-course<br />

wagering and patronage initiatives including:<br />

• State-wide electronic exposure through Golden<br />

West Network television (GWN), RadioWest and print<br />

exposure via The West Australian regional newspaper<br />

affiliates.<br />

• Provided club support via corporate hospitality to<br />

Broome, Kalgoorlie and Bunbury Cups by hosting <strong>RWWA</strong><br />

funded functions.<br />

• Provided dedicated code content on the <strong>RWWA</strong> website.<br />

• Assisted clubs with general promotion, media and<br />

marketing activities.<br />

• Assisted the Wagering Division in tailoring promotional<br />

activities to account holders for major race meetings.<br />

Industry Marketing<br />

• Managed and coordinated industry events and<br />

functions.<br />

• Conducted three racing code award functions, including<br />

Harness Horse of the Year, where pacer<br />

IM THEMIGHTYQUINN claimed back-to-back Horse of<br />

the Year awards; Apprentice Jockey Awards, where Kyra<br />

Yuill took out consecutive All-Round Apprentice Award,<br />

and the Greyhound of the Year, awarded to VOCAL<br />

ENFORCER.<br />

• Successfully targeted advertising revenue through<br />

Racing Ahead industry publications.<br />

• Provided <strong>RWWA</strong> communications to both industry<br />

and community via media releases, club circulars and<br />

three code strategic plan updates as well as Outreach<br />

Sessions throughout metropolitan and regional Western<br />

Australia.<br />

Apprentice Jockey Kyra Yuill winning the 2011 Perth Cup,<br />

becoming the first female rider to win the time honoured event
