<strong>MARIO</strong> <strong>RATTI</strong> SACBO’S <strong>NEW</strong> <strong>PRESIDENT</strong> <strong>AND</strong> CHAIRMAN<br />
Mario Ratti is the new president and chairman of Sacbo, the company responsible<br />
for the management of Bergamo <strong>Orio</strong> <strong>al</strong> <strong>Serio</strong> Airport. He was appointed to the post<br />
during the first meeting of the company’s new board of directors, made up of nine<br />
members, elected at the shareholders’ meeting held last 28 th March.<br />
Alfio Lamanna and Emilio Zanetti were elected vice presidents, while Renato<br />
Ravasio was appointed to the role of managing director.<br />
The executive committee’s members are Mario Ratti, Alfio Lamanna, Aldo<br />
Brandir<strong>al</strong>i, Emilio Zanetti and Renato Ravasio.<br />
The new board of directors, which will remain in office until the meeting to approve<br />
the 2010 financi<strong>al</strong> statement is held, is comprised by Mario Ratti, Alfio Lamanna,<br />
Emilio Zanetti, Renato Ravasio, Aldo Brandir<strong>al</strong>i, Roberto Sestini, Cesare Zonca,<br />
Luca Squeri and Francesco Triscari Binoni.<br />
Mario Ratti, formerly president of the Bergamo branch of Confindustria, the<br />
Confederation of It<strong>al</strong>ian Industry, between 1995 and 2000, has sever<strong>al</strong> prestigious<br />
positions to his name in business management organisations, manufacturing trade<br />
associations and groups representing private enterprise, many of which he<br />
continues to hold. He joined Sacbo’s board of directors in September 2004, taking<br />
part in the activities of its executive committee, whose task was to direct strategies<br />
and carry out the choices necessary for developing the airport and services<br />
connected with it.<br />
Renato Ravasio, the new managing director entrusted with powers of ordinary<br />
business management, joined Sacbo’s board of directors in January 2007. He has a<br />
degree in Economics and Business Administration, is an executive at Banca Intesa,<br />
has been a Member of Parliament for three legislatures, was gener<strong>al</strong> secretary of<br />
the Cariplo Foundation from 1998 to 2005 and is present as a director in sever<strong>al</strong><br />
companies in the banking, service and transport sectors.<br />
In accepting his role as Sacbo’s president and chairman, Mario Ratti confirmed the<br />
determination expressed by <strong>al</strong>l board members to carry out scheduled plans for<br />
upgrading airport facilities, directed towards continuously improving the qu<strong>al</strong>ity of<br />
the services which <strong>al</strong>ready meet with a high degree of satisfaction, while focusing<br />
on the process of environment<strong>al</strong> mitigation.<br />
He likewise expressed his hope that the working partnership underway with SEA<br />
would be strengthened within the framework of a common development strategy for<br />
the system of airports within the Lombardy user catchment area, by continuing the<br />
an<strong>al</strong>ysis and di<strong>al</strong>ogue stage which has been underway for some time with<br />
neighbouring businesses with the aim of identifying opportune operating and intercompany<br />
synergies.<br />

This new executive and manageri<strong>al</strong> set-up, based around the positions of president<br />
and managing director, is an expression of a collective vision of the business of<br />
airport management which is able to respond to the dynamics of the air transport<br />
sector and the need for an ever closer relationship with the loc<strong>al</strong> soci<strong>al</strong> and<br />
economic system, making it possible to improve the gener<strong>al</strong> efficiency of the airport<br />
and take an active part in future projects to improve the network of extern<strong>al</strong> services<br />
connected with land use planning requirements.<br />
