TCBC Named one of LAB's 2008 Bicycle Clubs of the Year!

Member Recognition

The members of TCBC have something
very special and unique that they are
part of. We have a wonderful club with
a diverse membership and a wide
range of cycling experiences and skills
that are brought to the rides and
cycling events that we have. We also
have a great group of people who
volunteer in a variety of ways, from
huge events to our ride leaders who
plan, scout, and map routes and
schedule the about 2000 rides that we
run each year, to the rider who helps
another rider when they have a flat or
a mechanical. The time, effort, and
compassion that it takes by doing
everything from being a ride leader to
a volunteer on one of our big events to
just being a good fellow rider is what
makes this club as great as it is.
Maybe you have seen on page two of
the TCBC newsletter there is an area
called the Recognition Corner. Do you
know someone who led an especially
great ride? Helped another rider? Did
something above and beyond or
exceptional?
Well, here is an opportunity to give
those people the recognition they
deserve for their actions.

It’s time to order the
new TCBC Jersey!
The design for the 2009 TCBC jersey
has undergone a vetting process and a
new design was selected by TCBC club
members. Congratulations to Katy
Prozinski for creating the winning
design! While the snow is on the
ground and you are dreaming about
biking, you can order your new TCBC
bike clothing. If you are concerned
about jersey size, check online: www.
biketcbc.org for locations to try on size
samples. The jerseys are from Revi, the
same manufacturer as the last TCBC
jersey, which may help you in
determining sizing. New this year is the
“new and improved” design for the
women's sleeveless jersey. In addition
to the unisex sizes, jackets and vests
are available in women’s sizes.
You may fill in the order form and send
your check to the TCBC post box OR
order online using PayPal via www.
biketcbc.org. If possible, we’d prefer
you ordered your jersey online to save
work for our hard-working volunteers!
The price is the same either way!!
• Orders received by March 20 will
receive their jerseys in time for
Ironman, April 26th.
• Orders received between March 21
and May 15 will receive their jerseys in
mid-June.
Jersey pricing includes shipping. You
may also be able to pick up your jersey
order at select club rides/events, which
will be listed on the TCBC website.
