<strong>Community</strong> Education COMMUNITY EDUCATION Creative Jewelry Design And Creation The purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with all of the beginning methods of metal fabrication. Methods introduced will include sawing, forming, riveting, soldering, and finishing. Students will also be taught about metal properties, lost-wax casting, and design. Materials cost is extra and payable to the instructor. Limited to 10 students. In Gum Paste and Fondant you’ll learn to create amazing hand-shaped flowers, beautiful borders and bold accents using these easy-to-shape icings. Students are responsible for providing their own starter kits. Students need to purchase Starter Kit Course 3. Starter kits are available where Wilton products are sold for approximately $30. Recent studies indicate it can also improve clinical depression and ease physical pain. Some studies also indicate that regular meditation practice also develops acceptance and deepens wisdom. This 8-week course will help establish the mental skills and practice necessary to experience the many health benefits now scientifically documented. You will choose from several medication techniques, one or two which are best for you. There will be ample times for practice, discussion and ways of handling resistance (which everyone encounters!) Healthy Coping With Human Stress Stress accounts for 80-90% of accidents and illnesses and most people don’t know how to manage it. This fun, 8 week course will introduce you to basic stress management guidelines, and practical coping strategies. We’ll begin with an inventory of our current stressors, and an introduction to meditation. Included in the content are two criteria for healthy coping, three phases of change you can expect to encounter and four phases of the clean quit – the kind you don’t regret!
