Jewelry Design And Creation<br />

The purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with all of the beginning<br />

methods of metal fabrication. Methods introduced will include sawing,<br />

forming, riveting, soldering, and finishing. Students will also be taught about<br />

metal properties, lost-wax casting, and design. Materials cost is extra and<br />

payable to the instructor. Limited to 10 students.<br />

Wilton® Cake Decorating Course 1: Basics<br />

Learn the right way to successfully decorate a cake. Learn the<br />

fundamentals of cake decorating techniques including how<br />

to make ribbon roses from icing. Students are responsible for<br />

providing their own starter kits. Students need to purchase<br />

Starter Kit Course 1. Kits are available where Wilton<br />

products are sold for approximately $30. Minimum of 6<br />

students by 09/05/12 and maximum of 10.<br />

Wilton® Cake Decorating Course 2: Flowers &<br />

Cake Design<br />

Prerequisite: Course 1. Explore sophisticated ways to<br />

bring your cakes and desserts to life! You’ll learn to create<br />

breathtaking icing flowers such as pansies, lilies and the<br />

famous Wilton Rose. Then, you’ll discover the secrets of<br />

arranging them in a beautifully balanced cake-top bouquet<br />

along with impressive border treatments or basket weave<br />

designs. Students are responsible for providing their own<br />

starter kits. Students need to purchase Starter Kit Course 2.<br />

Starter kits are available where Wilton products are sold for<br />

approximately $30. Minimum of 6 students by 10/10/12 and<br />

maximum of 10.<br />
