5. Number of Individual 5igh'~ings Reported
Two completely individual sightings, especially when separated
by a mile or ~re constitutes sufficient cause for follow-up, assuming
previous criterion have not been violated.
6. The Value of Obtaining Additional In:formation Itmuediately
If the in:formation cannot be obtained within seven days, the value
of such in:formation is greatly decreased.

value to obtain additional information immediately

two or three items (weather conditions, angular speed, changes in tra­
jectory, duration, etc.) are sufficient far immediate evaluation.
If investigatipn is undertaken after veeks or IlIOnths the original
observers cease to be of value 8S fer as additional neW information is concerned-.
Generally, late interrogation yields only bare repetition of
fac'ta originally reported plus an inability on the part of the observer
to be objective.
