<strong>CALTRAN</strong> ENGINEERING GROUP, INC. (<strong>CALTRAN</strong>) <strong>is</strong> extremely pleased to respond<br />
to the Request for Qualification #2012-10 to the City of North Miami Beach as per the<br />
Continuing Contract for Professional Services for Traffic <strong>an</strong>d Tr<strong>an</strong>sportation Engineering<br />
Services only.<br />
<strong>CALTRAN</strong> <strong>is</strong> a specialized firm in traffic <strong>an</strong>d highway <strong>an</strong>alys<strong>is</strong>, traffic data collection,<br />
inventories, traffic design services, roadway design, traffic calming providing similar services<br />
to those required by the City of North Miami Beach studies, GIS, parking studies, signal<br />
traffic warr<strong>an</strong>ts, traffic operations, tr<strong>an</strong>sportation pl<strong>an</strong>ning <strong>an</strong>d tr<strong>an</strong>sportation special studies.<br />
The primary focus of <strong>CALTRAN</strong> <strong>is</strong> to provide a comprehensive <strong>an</strong>d practical approach to<br />
solving current <strong>an</strong>d future tr<strong>an</strong>sportation challenges.<br />
<strong>CALTRAN</strong> <strong>is</strong> a certified DBE firm by the Florida Department of Tr<strong>an</strong>sportation; a certified<br />
MBE firm by the Florida Department of M<strong>an</strong>agement Services; <strong>an</strong>d a certified CBE/SBE firm<br />
by the Miami Dade County.<br />
<strong>CALTRAN</strong> has the experience, knowledge <strong>an</strong>d commitment the City of North Miami Beach<br />
needs.<br />
Experience: <strong>CALTRAN</strong> has a highly qualified group of professionals with extensive<br />
experience in projects within the City of Doral, City of Miami Beach, City of Sunny Isles<br />
Beach, City of Miramar, the Florida Department of Tr<strong>an</strong>sportation (FDOT), Miami‐Dade<br />
County, Broward County, the Miami Dade Expressway Authority (MDX), <strong>an</strong>d in ass<strong>is</strong>ting<br />
multiple private clients throughout the State of Florida by providing similar services to those<br />
required by the City of North Miami Beach. <strong>CALTRAN</strong>’s experience has lead us to develop<br />
safe <strong>an</strong>d effective tr<strong>an</strong>sportation systems.<br />
Knowledge: <strong>CALTRAN</strong>’s staff has the knowledgeable <strong>an</strong>d abund<strong>an</strong>ce of credentialed<br />

knowledge, <strong>an</strong>d capabilities to promptly respond to the City of North Miami Beach Project<br />
M<strong>an</strong>ager in all areas under th<strong>is</strong> contract.<br />
