OE Replacement Discs
EBC Brakes is proud to be one of the only companies in the UK selling an all British made
brake rotor programme. Our brake discs are made from castings that are made in our sister
company’s foundry in the south of England and are machined in Birmingham on state of
the art modern machinery. This is no cheap import brake rotor. These brake rotors have the
highest integrity and product quality on the British aftermarket.
Ultimax USR Series Sport Discs
Again using the same premium quality British made castings, these discs are cosmetically
adjusted at our Northampton plant to the new Ultimax slotted design which has the
benefit of helping degas brake pads and maintain parallel and flat pad wear which is the
main advantage of sport slotted rotors. This slot pattern completely eliminates the “record
groove” type scoring that is typical on non-slotted rotors and by keeping the pads flat and
parallel the braking performance remains constant due to better surface finish on both the
pad and the rotor (simple physics).
These rotors are best suited for quieter prestige and sports vehicles where brake noise
must be kept to a minimum.
The surface finish on this range of sport rotors is chemically applied high durability paint
that can withstand up to 5 years of abuse in European weather conditions - another first
from EBC Brakes.
Turbo Groove GD/TGD Series Sport Discs
Featuring the new 3 slot - wide aperture groove pattern combined with blind hole drilling
the turbo groove series of sport rotors has proved extremely popular with higher horse
power and faster cars due to its ability to reduce brake temperatures by up to 100°C. The
blind drilling prevents radial cracks around the holes typical with “through drilled” discs
and the wide aperture slot which is machined to the outside edges of the rotor has
significant benefits when used in wet and mud conditions by virtue of its ability to expel
dirt, dust, water, mud and debris from the braking area. Although much quieter in the
new 3GD (3 slot) design, these rotors are slightly noisier under braking than the Ultimax
series and customers need to be made aware of this at the point of choice.
