worth in this context. Our staff are engaged and de-<br />

ployed on the basis of this system, which enables us to<br />

advance them within the framework of the bank as a<br />

whole and to place them in positions best suited to their<br />

ability. Our assessment system pursues the Same aim.<br />

In or<strong>der</strong>s to encourage the staff it is essential to inform<br />

them about their company and the opportunities for pro-<br />

motion and development available to them, The essen-<br />

tial details about our bank have been compiled as a bro-<br />

chure for applicants. Another complementary booklet<br />

provides further information to meet the interests of<br />

new members of staff.<br />

In conjunction with the Staff Council of the whole<br />

Intensive vocational and further training<br />

Our training centre in Kronberg was fully operational<br />

for the first time during the year un<strong>der</strong> review. The archi-<br />

tectural concept and functionally designed furnishings<br />

have passed the test. Moreover, as planned, the centre<br />

has developed into a place where people can meet and<br />

pool experience. Members of the Board of Managing<br />

Directors meet those attending the seminars regularly<br />

for discussions.
