because the Map Entries are sorted on the ‘Original Location’ field, moving the unused<br />

and defective Map Entries to the end of the descriptor.<br />

Because of these considerations and in order to keep the rules as simple as possible, no<br />

extra exceptions for the CRC Length rule of the ST are introduced, but the default rule<br />

specified in 2.2.1.2 and 2.3.1.2 are adapted in order to cope with the 16 bits overflow<br />

case. An extra benefit is that also the theoretical cases (LVD, LVID and USD) are<br />

covered by this rule.<br />
