Tender Notice
Quotations of rates are invited for maintenance of cleanliness and
housekeeping of Sri Guru Arjun Dev Niwas and Mata Ganga Ji Niwas of Sri
Darbar Sahib Sri Amritsar. Interested companies/firms may send their quotations
to the undersigned in the form of sealed tender, upto 11 AM on May 31, 2012. The
tenders will be opened in the presence of the representatives of the
companies/firms on the same day at 2 pm. For detailed terms and conditions

Requirements / Terms & Conditions of tender for maintenance of
cleanliness and housekeeping of Sri Guru Arjun Dev Niwas and
Mata Ganga Ji Niwas:-
1. The nature of the work shall mainly be labour work / Job work.
2. There are 140 rooms (with attached bathrooms) and 8 General bathrooms in Sri
Guru Arjun Dev Niwas and 96 rooms (with attached bathrooms) and 10 General
bathrooms in Mata Ganga Ji Niwas.
3. The company shall be responsible for keeping the rooms and bathrooms in order,
maintaining cleanliness in the corridors, galleries, courtyards, staircases and
passages of the buildings, washing bed-sheets, upholstery, pillows, blankets,
quilts, curtains, towels etc. and for providing soaps in the bathrooms.
4. Sanitary parts and apparatus e.g. taps, spindles, pipes, bends, joints, toilet seats etc
(as and when required in due course of general maintenance) for the bathrooms
will be provided by the office.
5. The company shall be responsible for all the plumbing works
6. The company shall be responsible for cleaning the doors, windows, ventilators,
window panes, railings and the skirting etc.
7. The company shall be responsible for removal of cobwebs, stains from the walls,
switchboards, cleanliness of electrical appliances, furniture and metal surfaces in
the buildings.
8. The company shall be responsible for the cleanliness of dustbins and doormats.
9. Washing machine of 1 Qtl. Capacity and a roller press which are installed in the
complex will be available and their electricity and water bill will be borne by the
office. The company will have to arrange for washing soap, detergent and other
washing material.
10. The company shall be responsible for providing air fresheners for bathrooms.
11. Phenyl etc and other cleaning equipment such as brooms, wipers, dusters, pochas
etc will be arranged by the company.
12. All electrical work will be with the office.
13. The duration of allotment of work will be one year from date of allotment of
work.
14. The companies should have at least two years experience in the similar field.
15. The Secretary SGPC reserves all rights to reject any/all tenders without assigning
any reason.
16. The sealed tender shall be accompanied by DD of rupees one lac only, as
refundable security in the name of Manager, Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Amritsar
payable at Sri Amritsar.
17. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Secretary SGPC shall be final.
18. The buildings can be inspected on any working day during office hours.
