My experience at Chaminade, from the yearly rounds of comps and trimester exams to the enduring friendships that I gained, left a lasting impression on my character. Although the six days of comprehensive exams mattered the most towards our overall grade it was the nine months leading up to comps that mattered most for college preparation. I would not be the person I am today if it were not for the teachers and friends that I had at Chaminade.” William Moylan, 2009 “When I studied for my comprehensives, it was a non-stop study experience. The comps were just so important that you could not afford to leave studying for the last moment. They are difficult, but the feeling you received when they were over was unlike anything I had ever experienced, especially when I did well. It’s really a testament to the teaching abilities of the Chaminade faculty that so many students can walk away from such an important test and think, ‘Wow, I really aced that one!’” 23
