The goal of the <strong>Snohomish</strong> County PUD is to file a complete and thorough Preliminary Application<br />
Document (PAD). We are asking for your help to identify existing, relevant <strong>information</strong> of which<br />
you may be aware. Relevant <strong>information</strong> includes site-or-region specific studies, data, reports<br />
or management plans. To facilitate the <strong>information</strong> search we have prepared this PAD Information<br />
Questionnaire.<br />

*Geology and Soils: The geology of the islands generally consists of fractured bedrock and glacial<br />
till [mostly on Lopez Island]. The newly updated San Juan County soils maps can be found at:<br />

*Water Resources: San Juan County is designated as the WRIA 2 watershed planning area. Th<br />
County's numerous plans, reports and studies on water resources, including seawater intrusion risk<br />
areas, can be found at: www.co.san-juan.wa.us/health/ehswrm.asp<br />
*Fish and Aquatic Resources: San Juan County's marine waters are critical spawning, foraging,<br />
rearing and habitat grounds for forage fish, endangered marine mammals and salmon, as well as<br />
marine birds and other marine wildlife. Friends has worked to protect the critical eelgrass habitat and<br />
spawning grounds necessary to support the County's marine diversity in partnership with State<br />
agencies and the University of Washington using best available science. Friends has mapped
